Tribal Tour (10 Days / 09 Nights)
Kolkata - Dimapur - Kohima - Tuophema - Wokha - Mokokchung -
Sonari - Sibsagar - Dibrugarh – Kolkata
Nagaland's
blue-hued mountains and emerald expanses comprises an
intriguing world of ancient rituals and proud people. Magas
has evolved into a generic term for many tribal communities
in the North East. There are 16 major and numerous
sub-tribes spread over Nagaland's seven districts. Main
among them are the Angamis , the Sema , Konyak , Aas and the
Rengmas , each with their own distinct culture and life
style. Naga Society is a well-knit and cohesive unit living
by ancient tenets that play an important role in
contemporary life. The trip showcases the wealth of Naga
tradition.
Day 1: Arrive Kolkata :
Arrival at Airport/ railway station of Kolkatta where you
will be greeted by our representative and directly transfer
to hotel for overnight stay. Free for own activities
Day 2: Kolkata - Dimapur - Kohima :
Early morning as per the sheduled flight catch proceed
towards Dimapur. Arrival at Dimapur airport and the drive
towards Kohima which is approx 74 kms of drive. At afternoom
arrival at Kohima and chech in at hotel for overnight halt.
Day 3: Kohima - Tuophema :
Early morning, visit Vishwema Village and Kigwema Village
which is known for Angamai Tribe. Later at afternoon drive
towards Tuophema. Arrival at Tuophema check in at Guest
House. Enjoy Evening at Tourist Village with Nagal folk
music and dances.
Day 4: Tuophema - Wokha - Mokokchung :
After breakfast drive towards Mokokchung, situated at the
elevation of 1325 mts and is the center of Ao Tribe
enrouting visit of village house, Rock memorial, village
rise mill etc. Arrival at Mokokchung & check-in at Guest
House for overnight stay.
Day 5: Mokokchung :
After breakfast, Excursion of Mopungchukit village which is
the permanent Mission Centre of Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang.
Rest of the day at leisure to explore the area on your own.
Overnight at Mokochung
Day 6: Mokochung - Tuensang :
After breakfast proceed towards Tuensang enrouting LONGKHIM
Village of Sangtam tribe. Arrival at Tuensang and check in
at hotel for overnight halt. At evening visit TUENSANG
Village of Cham Tribe, and explore around to see some of the
finest traditional huts.
Day 7: Tuensang - Mon :
After an early breakfast drive to reach Mon via Tobu. Upon
reaching Mon checkin at Rest House for overnight stay.
Day 8: Mon :
In the morning visit Shangnyu village. Visit -village Morong,
Shangnyu village museum, Shangnyu Ang house which is close
to the museum, Rock memorials etc. In the afternoon drive to
Chui Village to see Wangkhao Ang House - one of the best Ang
houses with beautiful decoration.
Day 9: Mon - Sonari - Sibsagar :
Drive to Sibsagar, situated at Assam. It was capital of Ahom
Dynasty which ruled Assam for over 600 yrs.
Day 10: Sibsagar - Dibrugarh – Kolkata :
Drive towards Dibrugarh airport inorder to board flight to
Kolkata. Meet our representative and and transfer towards
hotel for wash and change. As per the sheduled flight /
railway timing transfer towards airport / railway station.
